California Dreamin' on a Summers Day!

We are so happy to be back in California! The past month has been such a whirlwind, I havent had time to write! I just had my first California bookclub meeting at our house and I have a few minutes (and no book to read!) before I need to go to bed, so I figured that now would be a good time to update the blog.
Let's see...Jon graduated from law school on May 18th! Congratulations, Honey! We had a fabulous weekend celebrating with our families and friends, then we packed up our stuff and moved back across the country. Soon after, we moved into our amazing house which we love! It is so perfect for us and has a great little yard where Jacob can play and I have a (very) small garden.
The weekend after we moved in, we baptized our beloved Godson, Gabriel Duggan. It was a special day and we were so honored to be his Godparents.
I started working and Jon started his bar review course the following week. Jacob gets to spend 2 days a week with my mom and 1 day with Jon's mom, so he couldnt be happier. They play baseball, basketball, soccer, bowling, tennis, golf etc. etc. all day long! I really like my job (I'm working for a Christian non-profit foundation) and Jon has been studying really hard for the Bar (a necessary evil).
This past weekend Corinne and I drove to Arizona where we stood by our good friend Nicky Van Aken as she became Mrs. Jeff Whye! It was very memorable and a super fun wedding. Congrats Jeff and Nicky.
Things are calming down for us a bit now. Jacob started swim lessons last week, and we are hoping to spend a little bit more time in the sunshine/pool/beach enjoying the beautiful weather over the next several weeks.
That's all for now...goodnight!

Water babies

Jacob had blast today playing with Libby and Isaac at Libby's pool. He loved kicking his legs in the water and floating in his turtle floatie! But most of all, he enjoyed throwing Isaac's sunscreen/his toys/mommy's shoes into the pool and watching people retrieve them.

Finals and house

2 down, 2 to go! Jon is halfway done with finals...his LAST set of finals for Law School (thank God!) Jacob and I are so proud of him for working so hard.

We are also thrilled to have found a home to rent in Tustin! For those of you who know Dan and Crystal Bakker, we are going to be renting their house! We are so excited because it is SUCH a beautiful house. We know Jacob is going to love playing in the Bakker boys' old play room.

2 weeks from tomorrow, our families will be arriving in C-ville for graduation! Woohoo!

Day at the Zoo!

Yesterday, Renee, our friend Sara and I took Jacob and Isaac to the Richmond Zoo! Although it was very hot, the boys loved seeing all the animals, especially the tiger, giraffes and monkeys. Jacob was very brave and let one of the giraffes eat out of his hand! He spent most of the afternoon trying to climb over or under the fences. Another highlight- Jacob tried his first ice cream cone! Yum!
